In 1975 GM auto Exec J.Z. Delorean – most noted for the Pontiac GTO – started a small auto company with a huge name, DeLorean, and though his ill fated venture would last only 7 years, thanks to some spectacular publicity – Back to the Future – the thought has stuck. J.Z.DeLorean died in 2005, his legacy lives on . . .

From the China-sourced Coda to Hyundai and Volkswagen, a rundown of the flood of plug-ins and hybrids set to hit the market.
The first mass-market electric vehicles are about to go on sale in selected cities, kicking off the beginning of a wave of new green vehicles hitting showrooms over the coming year.
The Chevrolet Volt, from General Motors, and the Leaf, from Nissan, both launching in December, are just the beginning of the electrification trend. At least eight hybrids and 12 plug-in electric cars in every price range are planned for 2011, with another batch of electric vehicles (EVs) expected in 2012. Read the full article »»»»

So Not Green . . .

We’re sure Porsche would argue – spin the good spin – This Car is So Far from green it would have to be up the with BP’s gulf Disaster on the Green Richter . . . . 
We don’t care – as fans of the original, our christmas list for 2013 is now filled !

Built on the platform that underpins the Panamera four-door sports sedan, the unnamed two-door will ride on a shorter wheelbase but will share at least 60 percent of its parts with the Panamera. The sedan’s control-arm front suspension and multilink rear will likely get firmer tuning in keeping with the coupe’s sporting pretense. The shorter wheelbase will reduce the coupe’s weight and improve its handling, but the reduction will come at the expense of rear-seat space. As in the 911, the back seats will likely only be suitable for driving rugs or sports bags.

Driven by Hot Air: Can the French really produce a commercially viable air-powered motor vehicle?

MDI founder Guy Nègre, says “production of the AirPod should begin midway through 2009” The Company signed a partnership agreement (2007) with major car maker Tata (India) This partnership should allow MDI to complete the development and optimization of its technology for the Indian market. Tata Motors is the company that acquired Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford in 2008, and is the maker of the $2,500 car.

Electrified Audi
