Meet Edward, with a top speed of 40kmh / 25 mph is a futuristic, purely electric dicycle. Designed by Honor students – Ben S. Cazzolato, Chris Dyer, Kane Fulton, Jonathon Harvey, Evan Schumann, Charles Zhu, Luke Charles Francou, Jack Scott Parsons, Benjamin John Wright, Bo Zhu, Jonathon R. Atterton, Ben L. Davis, Samuel C. Hart and Erin E. Pearce – at the University of Adelaide, Australia, Edward is an advanced program in good looking mechanical design. Although it looks like some dystopian vehicle ridden by Gaff in Bladerunner, Edward is a fully operational electric, human operated dicyclele. Generally at Grilled we write up stuff that goes fast, high, or are cutting edge technologically. We don’t often blip on things that are intended to go slow, inducing that dreamy feeling –the one that feels a little like sleep – isn’t something we specialize in. This is a little cooler than sleep though, why someone hasn’t done this before is a little baffling.  The Molokini is an all transparent two passenger kayak made out of the same durable polycarbonate material used in the production of bulletproof glass and fighter jet canopies. Molokini’s construction is quite simple, a polycarbonate skin wrapped around an aluminum internal frame,  seating is hung from the frame. The Molokini features a removable lightweight anodized aluminum frame system is completely removable  making transporting and storage of multiple units easy and convenient.
